Their stuff is hand-made from LA and very unique...I've never seen anything like it before! Most of it is laser-cut plexiglass and wood and features funny sayings or cute graphics. Here are some examples (check out neivz.com to see the full collections):
I got mine put in this last weekend (after much waiting and anticipation!) and am very happy with the results so far. Generally you can put in a bundle of 6 or 7 feathers of your choice, and/or do single feathers throughout your hair, and choose from natural colored feathers or dyed ones. It can be hard to find a place that does feather extensions— at least in the Seattle area— but I found an awesome place called Allure Salon in downtown Seattle...just ask for Amani! Call her at 206.441.4500 for more info. She charges from $30 to $50 for the extensions, depending on how many you want. The extensions last about 2 months, and after that the feathers are still perfectly fine (you can wash, curl, & flat iron them with your hair) but your hair grows so you will have to get the extensions moved back up...super easy!

3. SALVAGE LA feather earringIf you don't want something as permanent as feather extensions, opt for a beautiful feather earring! I found this amazing woman, Cardi, on etsy.com. This is my new favorite place to shop online for hand-crafted jewelry and other fun items you can't find anywhere else. Cardi sells her earrings at the flea market in LA and it was hard to track down her products, but finally she is selling a lot of her stuff on etsy! The earrings are all 100% handmade in downtown LA and the feathers come naturally from LIVE birds who simply don't want them anymore. Her creations go fast (ususally she puts new items up on mondays and they sell out by the next day!) so check her site out at http://www.etsy.com/shop/SalvageLA
